Everything began in 1986
We have been creating metal frames and office accessories since 2006, but our history began 20 years earlier as manufacturers of bicycle frames. Hence our name: TELai and BIci (that is FRAmes and BIkes). Our first headquarters were in Dronero, a municipality of 7,000 inhabitants in the province of Cuneo, in Piedmont.We worked mainly for large-scale distribution, with customers such as Carrefour and Auchan, while a dedicated line of the plant supplied Piaggio with luggage racks for motorcycles and scooters.
Around 2005, when the bicycle market slowed down and the multinationals of the large-scale retail trade preferred to relocate, a meeting with professionals in the field of office furniture introduced us to this sector, so we decided to diversify and make good use of what we had learned in the many years we spent building frames:
- developing the best technologies for materials (especially in cutting and welding steel tubes);
- optimizing production processes;
- guaranteeing added value in terms of service.
At the same time, we moved to a larger plant and those same designers started working with us in research and development activities.
In 2016 came a second move and further expansion of the plant, which led us to double the number of employees and expand the network of partnerships, as well as a major technological breakthrough with the purchase of cutting-edge machinery.
Today in the Cuneo plant (20,000 square metres, 10,000 of which under cover) we produce more than 100,000 desks a year and sell throughout Europe and in numerous countries in Africa, America, Asia and Oceania.
